• If you’ve always wanted to model, here’s your chance. La Chic Boutique of Sanford is looking for women and girls who wear sizes 24, 20, 22, 16/18, 10, 6, and 4 to model selections from the store on Nov. 7.

• There's a great write up in The Sanford Herald today about the "Jubi-Lee" - Downtown Sanford Fall Festival scheduled for Depot Park this weekend. For those without a subscription, here's a screen shot!

• Rev your engines -- the Sandhills Bike Fest is this weekend. It begins 9am on Friday and ends at noon Sunday and will feature vendors, games, and live music. A day pass is $14 and weekend pass is $30 per person. Call 777-6873 or click the link for more details.

• Bring your dog or cat out to Carolina Animal Rescue & Adoption’s free rabies clinic at Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church on Saturday from 10am-3pm. There will be free rabies and basic shots while supplies last.
