- Go listen to the Sandhills Community College Jazz Band at the Owens Auditorium (3395 Airport Road in Pinehurst) for free! The music starts at 7:30pm.

- Support Haven House by buying a Love Shouldn't Hurt raffle ticket from the Central Carolina Jaycees. Tickets are just $2 each or 3 for $5! You can also get them from Added Accents, Afternoon Tea at Mrs. Lacy's Magnolia House Too, Black Belt Leadership Academy, and Carolina Artists' Colony. The drawing will be Feb. 6.

- Spend a romantic evening at the Enrichment Center (Wicker Street) listening to familiar, well-loved classics (6-8pm). Jazz vocalist Kathy Geib and pianist Court Stewart will give you and your Valentine a night to remember.
- Are you celebrating Valentine’s Day with the ladies? Get all the girls together for "Ladies' Night Out" with Dirty Dancing at the Stewart Theater in downtown Dunn, NC (7:30-10pm)! The cost is just a $5 donation to Harnett Regional Theatre.
- Take the kids to Pop HeART at the Carolina Artists’ Colony (10-11:30am). They’ll experiment with watercolors as they create their own Valentine’s art inspired by pop artist Jim Dine, who incorporated hearts into his art. The class is for ages 5-10. Register at 919-774-6139.
- The Painted Petal on Hawkins Avenue is also holding a Valentine's day art class for kids (10-11am). For just $15, children can paint a wooden frame with a heart-shaped cut out and they'll use bubble wrap as a paint finish!
- If you have a chocolate lover in your house, you won’t want to miss the Chocolate Festival at Pinehurst UMC (4111 Airport Road in Pinehurst, 10am-4pm). There will be a bake-off, cupcake competition, and more -- all with the chocolate theme. Proceeds will benefit local outreach programs.
- Grab your sweetheart and head out to Elliotts on Linden for a wine tasting from 12-4pm and cooking demonstrations from 12-2pm. They hold a wine tasting and cooking demonstrations every Saturday with varying themes!
- Whisk your sweetheart way to Celebrity Dairy in Silk Hope for a simple lunch of local foods (12-3pm). You can also visit with the dairy’s goats while you’re there.
- Celebrate a day of love with Starrlight Meadery in Pittsboro (12-4pm). Red Light Chocolate will be onsite with treats including the special Starrlight Mead Blackberry Chocolate. The meadery will also offer special Valentine’s day gift packs.
- The Stevens Center is holding its annual Valentine Prime Rib Dinner and Silent Auction (5-7pm). The Karen Huey String Ensemble will provide dinner music, but there will also be special entertainment throughout the night. The cost is $25/plate.
- Take your Valentine to the “Just For The Heart Of It” fundraiser for the Temple Theatre at the ArtStudio (102 S Steele St, 5-9pm). There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres and signature cocktails for just $35/person or $70/couple.
- Head out to The Flame Steakhouse to listen to Tim Hair & AKM Band play standards along with new songs (9pm-1am). This is a great way to cap off your evening.
