- Don’t skip breakfast — get it for free from Chick-Fil-A of Sanford (6:30-10:30am)! Each guest will get either a spicy chicken biscuit or a breakfast burrito for free!

- Release stress with Tree of Life’s 9am pilates/yoga (PiYo) class at 116 Steele Street (2nd floor). Come back your kiddo at 10:30am for the children’s version. Each class is $5.

- Calling all gardeners: Big Bloomers' Flower Farm is hosting another Saturday Seminar (11am-12pm). This month’s topic is the "language" of flowers. Attendees will learn how to use flowers to convey different sentiments.
- Hey, ladies -- make time to stop by the "Bellini's, Bags, Bling and Beauty Party" at 498 Hilltop Road, Sanford NC (2:30-4:30pm). You'll be able to shop for products from Thirty One, Just Jewelry, and Mary Kay, as well as win door prizes!
- Calling all teenage actors! A local teen is holding auditions for Dazed, a new web-based television show, at Encore School of Performing Arts (1-3pm). All actors who are cast will be asked to stay until 6pm to film the first episode.
- Go on a hike with a park ranger at Raven Rock State Park to look for bats. You'll also construct an origami bat and participate in an outdoor game that illustrates the unique adaptations of our local bats. Meet at the Visitor Center at 5pm.
- Eat supper with the Broadway Optimists to raise money for their youth program. From 5:30pm to 8:30pm, you can buy a take-out plate of spaghetti, garlic bread, and dessert for just $7. Even better: Stick around for another night of cornhole and your plate will be just $5!
- Take your family to watch Courageous at Vineyard Assembly of God (6-9pm; Henley Road). Bring a covered dish to share at 6pm and settle in for the movie at 7pm.
- It's time for "SWAGG" at SanLee Chapel (6pm-1am). There will be food and music ranging from rock to funk to hip-hop. The public is welcome to attend.

- Take a trip to Aberdeen for the Aberdeen Bead Company’s "String it Along Saturday." This week’s focus will be crystal beads (11am) and stone-and-crystal lariats (1pm). Go back at 1pm to make some book jewelry!
- Stop by the Carolina Brewery & Grill in Pittsboro for a free brewery tour and tasting (12pm and 1pm). The tours are free, but you must sign up at 919-545-2330.
- If you'll be in Pinehurst, stop by Elliotts on Linden between noon and 4pm for free wine tasting. There will be cooking demonstrations at noon and 2pm.
- Head out to the Goldston Fire Department for the South Chatham Ruritan Club's annual chili cook off (2-6pm). There will be live music and door prizes. Eat for just $7/person.
- The Morehead Planetarium’s staff invites everyone to learn more about Venus, Jupiter, and the moon at its monthly sky watching session at Jordan Lake. The event runs from 6pm to 8pm and is free to the public. Email Steve at steve.mcmurray@ncdenr.gov to RSVP.
- Support local musicians Tim Hair & AKM Band by driving out to G&Gs Sports Bar & Grill (3545 US 401 South in Lillington NC) for some live music. The group will go onstage at 10pm.

- Take a tour of the Piedmont Biofuels diodiesel plant in Pittsboro NC at 1pm. The event is free and you can just show up. However, the tours begin promptly and stragglers will likely miss out.
