• It’s time to register for fall dance (ages 3+) and Tiny Tots (ages 3-5) at Lee County Parks & Rec! Call 919-775-2107 ext 207 for info or just shoot over to their office on Tramway Road. These sessions will fill up quickly! Click this link for pricing, etc.

• Kangaroo Express is giving away free hot dogs today (10am-1pm) in honor of its Salute Our Troops campaign. Take your Roo cup to get a dog and a drink for just $0.25!

• National Night Out is right around the corner (August 7). If your neighborhood would like to participate -- or if you want to know who’s celebrating near you -- contact Bonnie at bonnie.white@sanfordnc.net.

• There are only two more weeks of the summer movie series at Spring Lane Cinemas. This week’s movie is Shrek Forever After and it costs just $1/person. See the other $1 movies in our area at this link.

• Go bowl for a great cause this Wednesday at the 'Pins for a Park' Kids Bowling Tournament to raise funds for a new park. You can register online and a ton of local businesses have donated prizes. This will be a great family night out (and dinner will be served)!

• Make plans for Saturday! Helping Hands Preschool & After School Care is hosting its first Parents’ Night Out (6-10pm). Drop-ins are welcome and dinner will be served. Click over to their page for details.
