    What: Interval training that’s perfect for all fitness levels. The cost is $49/month for 2 nights a week, or $69/month for unlimited classes. The drop in rate is $10/class. Your first class is always free.
  • “A Dream to Fly: The Bessie Coleman Story" at Heart of Harnett Playhouse, Lillington NC
    When: 7–9pm
    What: Learn about Bessie’s struggle and triumph in becoming the first African American female pilot. The play will be in the Old Lillington High School Auditorium.
  • Open Gym at Sanford Academy, 2731 Lee Avenue, Sanford NC
    When: 7–10pm
    What: Let the kids play at the gym for $7 an hour or $15 for the night!
  • The Swingin' Cowboys at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage Street, Sanford NC
    When: 8pm
    What: Mainstage tickets are $23 for adults and $13 for children and students. Discounted tickets are available for $19 for Thursday night performances, active-duty military, Lee County teachers and groups of 10 or more.

    When: 7am–12pm
    What: Buy gently used items and fresh baked goods to support the church's endeavors.
  • Flock Swap at Carolina Town & Country, 710 E. Main Street, Sanford NC
    When: 8am–1pm
    What: Buy, sell, or trade animals. No elephants allowed.
  • Library Academic Quiz Bowl at First Presbyterian Church, 404 Hawkins Avenue, Sanford NC
    When: 9:30am–12:00pm
    What: The bowl will take place in the Old Fellowship Hall. Participating schools are Lee Christian, Lee Early College, Lee Senior, and Southern Lee.
  • Book Sale at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Avenue, Sanford NC
    When: 10:30am-1:30pm
    What: Purchase adult fiction to benefit the Friends of the Lee County Library.
  • Backyard Birding at Raven Rock State Park, Lillington NC
    When: 11am
    What: Learn to identify birds in your backyard. Bring binoculars if you own a pair. There will be a short hike to find birds. You’ll also learn how to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count coming up later this month.
  • British Afternoon Tea at the Chatham Community Library, 197 N Carolina 87, Pittsboro NC
    When: 3pm
    What: Celebrate the third season of Downton Abbey with the Friends of the Chatham Community Library. Admission is free, but space is limited. Call 919-545-8084 to RSVP.
  • Ballroom Dance Party at the Enrichment Center of Lee County, 1615 Third Street, Sanford NC

    What: There will be a live band. Admission is $6. Bring your own drinks and snacks. The admission fee benefits the Enrichment Center's programs.

  • First Sunday in downtown Pittsboro NC
    When: 12–4pm
    What: Downtown will be full of vendors, artisans, craftspeople, and more.
  • Super Bowl Widows’ Social at Karma Boutique, 137 Wicker Street, Sanford NC
    When: 1–4pm
    What: Enjoy wine, shopping, and camaraderie. There will be games and door prizes, including a drawing for “mystery hostess.” The first 25 guests will receive a Karma Swag Bag.
  • PiYo Beginnings at Tree of Life, 107 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC
    When: 6–7pm
    What: Learn basic PiYo sequences to build strength and endurance, and perform mild cardio for weight loss. This class is perfect for those who want to learn what PiYo is all about or to add another class to your workout routine. Drop in fee $8.
  • Yoga at Tree of Life 107 Charlotte Avenue, Sanford NC
    When: 7:15–8:15pm
    What: A yoga class created to develop whole body strength, and increase flexibility, balance, mental focus, and awareness of your breath.

    Correction: I just called the Enrichment Center about the Saturday night FREE Ballroom lessons. Here's the deal. The FREE ballroom lessons are on Monday nights @ 6:45 pm and that's every Monday night ! Saturday night there's a Ballroom DANCE Party @ 7 pm with a LIVE BAND, "Southern Exposure" and the admission FEE is $6/person and they ask that you bring your own drinks/snacks ! The admission fee is a donation towards helping the Enrichment Center .. so let's ALL go and have a really good time !!
