  • Genealogical & Historical Society Meeting at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The program will be “Sanford: The Myth, The Legend, The Memories” by Kevin Lubinski and his Lee County High School’s History Honors Class. Get a glimpse back at Sanford’s historic buildings and the people. The meeting will be held in the auditorium and is open to the public.

Wednesday

    What: Join a group of like-minded job seekers who want to support one another during transition. Everyone is welcome. Call 919-776-6137 for more information.
  • Toddler Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Bring toddlers (up to age 3) for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.
  • Culinary Showcase at CCCC-Lee, 1105 Kelly Dr, Sanford NC
    When:
    11:30a-1p
    What: Culinary students from Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties will compete for special guest judges. The cost is $7, which includes a drink. The event will be held between the Bell Welcome Center and the library.

  • Thursday Hike at Raven Rock State Park, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington NC
    When:

    What: Join park staff every week to hike 3-6 miles on trails that can be flat, hilly and include steps. Plan to stop during the hike to observe wildlife, enjoy environmental educational moments, and listen to the natural world. For ages 12 and up.   • Preschool Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC

    What: Bring children ages 3-5 for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.

    What: Lee County High School’s Drama Department will present “Our Town.” This classic play is a touching story about the lives and deaths of the people in the small town of Grover’s Corner NH in the early 1900s. Admission will be $5 for everyone.
  • Legally Blonde at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC

    What: A fabulously fun international award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

  • Open House at the Lee County Health Department, 106 Hillcrest Dr, Sanford NC

    What: Meet the department’s staff and learn about the many programs and services available. Educational materials, light refreshments and prizes will be available. The open house is free and open to the public. For more information, call 919-718-4640.

    What: Spaghetti dinner including salad, roll, drink and dessert for $8/adult or $5/child under age 5. Students from J. Glenn Edwards Elementary and B.T. Bullock will sing and an East Lee Middle School student will provide background music. Proceeds benefit two local families fighting cancer.
  • Student Theatre at San-Lee Chapel, 3215 Keller Andrews Rd, Sanford NC

    What: Lee Christian’s drama students will present “Holy Moses!” — a new telling of the classic bible tale.
