  • Shred Truck at Thrivent Financial, 310 N. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    What: The public is invited to bring one box of papers to be shredded. Bring a donation of school supplies or food for Backpack Pals and you can shred two boxes.
  • Story Time at Millstone Creek Orchards, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC
    What: One hour program includes story, tasting, hayride & take home seed planting. The cost is $8.


  • Orchestra Rehearsal at Lee County High School, 1708 Nash St, Sanford NC
    What: The Lee County Community Orchestra will rehearse for the season in the Instrumental Rehearsal Hall. All instrumentalists are welcome to join.


  • Sanford Jobseekers at First Baptist Church, 202 Summit Dr, Sanford NC
    What: Whether you are a jobseeker or trying to help and support job seekers. Join a group of like-minded job seekers who want to support one another during transition. Everyone is welcome. Call 919-776-6137 for more information.
  • Veterans’ Benefits Forum at the Enrichment Center, 1615 S 3rd St, Sanford NC
    What: The forum will be hosted by Lee County Veteran Services. Topics of discussion include: VA Compensation Process, Pension Program, My Healthy Vet Program/Sign-up, and e-Benefits Sign-up.   • Hike For Your Health at Raven Rock State Park, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington
    What: Call park office at 910-893-4888 for additional information.
  • Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Meeting, 146 S Main St, Broadway NC
    What: The auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting. If you have a husband, wife, father, mother, son, daughter, grandfather, or grandmother who has been disabled in the service to our country, you are eligible for membership. Contact Nancy Jackson at 919-353-9836 for more information.
  • Sanford BPW Meeting at Elizabeth’s Pizza, 1009 Spring Ln, Sanford NC
    What: The Sanford Business & Professional Women’s Organization will hold its monthly meeting. The topic will be “organization for life.” Networking begins at 5p and the meeting will begin at 5:30p.
