  • Sunset and Full Moon Hike at Raven Rock State Park, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington NC

    What: Hike to the Overlook and watch the sun set over the Cape Fear River and then see the moon rise over the trees in the parking lot. Listen to the sounds of the park’s critters going to rest for the night while others are just waking up. For this easy 2 mile hike, meet at the Visitor Center at 7:15 p.m. Bring water, flashlights and a camera.

    What: Sanford residents are invited to participate in a public meeting to gauge the demand for park facilities and public recreation. Input gathered will be used to form a Master Plan for Parks and Greenways.
  • Sanford Area Photography Club at the Lee County Arts and Community Center, 507 N Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: The mission of the Sanford Area Photography Club is to share a passion for photography with like minded people. This month’s guest speaker will be an NC SBI forensic photographer.
