    What: A portion of all sales will be donated to J. Glenn Edwards Elementary School.
  • Lee County Genealogical & Historical Society Meeting at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The program will be “The Culture of Bluegrass Music in North Carolina: My Life as An Accidental Bluegrass Musician” by John Santa. The meeting is open to the public.
  • Season Reveal at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC

    What: Kick off the theatre’s next season with a preview of Jessika Brust’s ship show “Meet Beyond the Shore.” Reservations are suggestions.

  • Vietnam Veterans Flag Ceremony at City Hall, 225 E. Weatherspoon St, Sanford NC

    What: The Lee County Firefighters Honor Guard will raise the Vietnam Veteran Commemorative Flag to honor the date of the final withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam in 1973.

  • Thursday Hike at Raven Rock State Park, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington NC

    What: Join park staff every week to hike 3-6 miles on trails that can be flat, hilly and include steps. Plan to stop during the hike to observe wildlife, enjoy environmental educational moments, and listen to the natural world. For ages 12 and up.   • Preschool Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC

    What: This benefit auction fundraiser supports the Coalition for Families & the Lee County Partnership for Children. This event offers an evening of fun with a variety of activities, auctions and entertainment.
