  • Story Time at Millstone Creek Orchards, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC
    When:

    What: One hour program includes story, tasting, hayride & take home seed planting. The cost is $8. This week’s theme is pecans.
  • Toastmasters International at CCCC-Lee County, 1105 Kelly Dr, Sanford NC
    When:
    6:30-7:30p
    What: Toastmasters International helps people reach their public speaking and leadership goals. The Central Carolina Club is open to the public and students.
  • Student Theatre at Southern Lee High School, 2301 Tramway Rd, Sanford NC
    When:
    7p
    What: Students will perform “Curiosity Cat,” a story about displaced children and homeless cats, as well as family and the value of curiosity, in the Cavalier Theater. Admission is $6 and refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday

  • Girl Scout Sign-Up Night at St Luke UMC, 2916 Wicker St, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-7:30p
    What: Learn about the troops currently accepting new girls in Lee County. Adult volunteers are also needed. Troops are open to girls in grades K-12, as well as homeschoolers.
  • Lee Readers Book Club at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    6:30-7:30p
    What: Lee Readers is a book club that meets on the third Tuesday of each month.

    When:

    What: Whether you are a jobseeker or trying to help and support job seekers. Join a group of like-minded job seekers who want to support one another during transition. Everyone is welcome. Call 919-776-6137 for more information.
  • Toddler Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10-11a
    What: Bring toddlers (up to age 3) for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.

  • AM Buzz at U.S. Cellular, 3274 NC Highway 87 S, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Stop in for a morning of networking that includes breakfast, coffee, prizes, and more.
  • Preschool Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10-11a
    What: Bring children ages 3-5 for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.

Friday

  • ‘Tired Souls’ at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When:
    12:30p and 7p
    What: Mike Wiley will present this tribute to the men and women who were instrumental in sparking the Civil Rights movement. Tickets are $15.
  • SASS Social featuring DJ Kitty Earles at the VFW, 1500 Webb St, Sanford NC
    When:
    7-10p
    What: The Sanford Area Society of Shaggers (SASS) is a group of friendly, welcoming people who have shag dancing, a love of beach music, and socializing in common. All are welcome to come out and enjoy.
