  • Story Time at Millstone Creek Orchards, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC

    What: One hour program includes story, tasting, hayride & take home seed planting. The cost is $8. This week’s theme is fall leaves.

  • Sanford Jobseekers at First Baptist Church, 202 Summit Dr, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Whether you are a jobseeker or trying to help and support job seekers. Join a group of like-minded job seekers who want to support one another during transition. Everyone is welcome. Call 919-776-6137 for more information.
  • Toddler Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10-11a
    What: Bring toddlers (up to age 3) for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.
  • Library Chess Club at Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    6:30-8:30p
    What: The Library Chess Club meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday. Players 10 and up are welcome. For more information, call Debbie at 919-718-4665 ext 5490.

  • Veterans Appreciation Breakfast at the Dennis A Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St, Sanford NC
    When:
    8a
    What: The Enrichment Center invites Lee County veterans and active military to an appreciation breakfast. Each may bring one guest at a cost of $3, paid in advance. Registration at 919-776-0501 x 2201 is required. The All American Brass Quintet of the 82D Airborne will perform.
  • Military Spouse Benefits Seminar at the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Headquarters, 146 S. Main Street, Broadway NC
    When:
    10a
    What: This seminar will help military spouses understand entitlements, death benefits, and more. Get more information and RSVP at 919-353-9836. A light lunch will follow the seminar.
  • Preschool Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC

    What: Bring children ages 3-5 for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.
  • Veterans Day Observance at Dennis A Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: The speakers will be Frank R. Bedoe Sr, who is CCCC Director of Campus Security and Safety, and Michael J. Morris, a current CCCC student. CCCC-Lee County will host this event in front of the civic center.
  • Fall Festival at Deep River Elementary School, 4000 Deep River Rd, Sanford NC

    What: The school will have food trucks setup for those who are hungry. They’ll also have a silent auction and a staff-student basketball game. Games will be $0.25, inflatables will be $0.50, or you can get a $10 wristband for unlimited play. Admission to the basketball game is $0.50/person.
  • German Kaffeeklatsch Club Meeting at Cafe Vesuvio, 1945 S Horner Blvd, Sanford NC

  • Free Marketing Seminar at the Dennis A Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St, Sanford NC

    What: Learn how to create a marketing strategy that supports your business goals. This seminar will cover some of the best marketing tools that are free or at a very low-cost and explore creative ways to promote your business within your budget.

  • Veterans Day Program at the NC Veterans Memorial Pavilion, Main St, Broadway NC

    What: Honor and celebrate veterans and active duty armed forces at this annual observance. The program is sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit #5. For more information, call 919-353-9836.
  • Movies in the Park at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The Lee County Partnership for Children will offer activities for kids to do while waiting for the movie to start (craft, obstacle course, reading area, etc.) and the Central Carolina Jaycees have concessions available for purchase. The movie for this week is Wall-E.
  • Movie Night at Total Body Therapy & Wellness, 2 the Square, Lillington NC
    When:
    7-9:30p
    What: Take the family to see the movie Elf. Tickets are $2/person or $4/family of 4. The event is a fundraiser to benefit Cinderella’s Attic, a non-profit organization that provides prom dresses and accessories for those who cannot afford them.
