    What: This month’s program is “Salute Our Veterans” and will feature a guest speaker. John Santa from Chapel Hill will present a special celebration for our veterans in attendance. The meeting is open to the public, and guests are welcome.

  • Thursday Hike at Raven Rock State Park, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington NC
    When:

    What: Join park staff every week to hike 3-6 miles on trails that can be flat, hilly and include steps. Plan to stop during the hike to observe wildlife, enjoy environmental educational moments, and listen to the natural world. For ages 12 and up.   • ‘Clue’ at the Temple Theater, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC

    What: See the iconic whodunnit musical for $27/adult or $15/student/senior citizen. The audience will get involved in solving the crime!
  • Business After Hours at the Mann Center of NC, 507 N. Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: Take a tour of the historic building, watch a dress rehearsal for an upcoming production, and peruse the Miller Art Gallery while networking with community and business leaders.

  • Night of the Living Dead at Lee County High School, 1708 Nash St, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: The drama department will stage a production of the Halloween classic. Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30p and on October 31 at 9p. Tickets are $8/adult and $5/student.

  • Halloween Festival at Lillington Park, 405 S. First St, Lillington NC

    What: The annual event includes a trunk or treat, hayride, cake walk, and movie in the park. No scary costumes. Adults may not wear a mask.

  • Lights of Halloween at Broken Plow Farm, 1851 Avents Ferry Rd, Sanford NC

    What: The farm will offer a 30-minute hay ride with lighted displayed and a special light show at the end. Tickets are $9 for ages 2+. Cash only.
