  • Story Time at Millstone Creek Orchards, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC
    When:

    What: One hour program includes story, tasting, hayride & take home seed planting. The cost is $8.
  • Classes for Family Caregivers at the Enrichment Center, 1615 S 3rd St, Sanford NC
    When:
    1-3p
    What: The center will offer an evidence based class for family caregivers that will offer quality and relevant tools from a certified instructor. The class will run on Mondays through November 7.   • Expungement Clinic at Lee County Government Center, 530 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Legal Aid of North Carolina will explain NC’s expunction law and help participants determine their eligibility to have one or more charges removed from their criminal record. You must pre-register here.

Wednesday

  • Sanford Jobseekers at First Baptist Church, 202 Summit Dr, Sanford NC
    When:
    8:30-10:30a
    What: Whether you are a jobseeker or trying to help and support job seekers. Join a group of like-minded job seekers who want to support one another during transition. Everyone is welcome. Call 919-776-6137 for more information.
  • Coty Job Fair at the Holiday Inn Express, 2110 Dalrymple St, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Coty has openings for general production workers, material handlers, and forklift operators for all shifts. Get all details here.
  • Toddler Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10-11a
    What: Bring toddlers (up to age 3) for story time in the auditorium. Programs last between 20 and 30 minutes and may include stories, finger plays, flannel board stories, crafts, movement, and music.
  • Grand Opening at Boyd’s Automotive, 1615 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    1-4p
    What: Boyd’s Automotive has moved to a new location. Celebrate with free food and drinks, as well as a raffle for prizes and gift certificates.
  • Live Music at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-8p
    What: Faith Bardill and the Back Row Saints will perform for the Cycle NC Mountains to the Coast tour’s stop in Sanford. The concert is free and open to the public.
  • Painting Fundraiser at The Painted Petal, 1112-C Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-9p
    What: Paint a fall scene to benefit Carolina Animal Rescue & Adoption for $35/person, which includes light refreshments and all supplies. Half of the proceeds will be donated. You can paint a dog or a cat in your pumpkin. Register here.

  • Preschool Story Time at the Lee County Library, 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC

  • Sanford BPW Meeting at Elizabeth’s Pizza, 1009 Spring Ln, Sanford NC

    What: The group will hold its monthly meeting. Networking begins at 5p and the meeting starts at 5:30p. Bring your favorite quotes, passages, or words of wisdom to share.
  • Take 5 Open Mic Night at Karma Boutique, 131 Wicker St, Sanford NC

    What: Writers can share original works of poetry or prose. Sign-up begins at 5:30p. Writers age 15 and under will share from 6-6:15p.

Friday

  • Open Studio at the ArtStudio, 102 S. Steele St, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-9p
    What: Open studio allows artists ages 14+ to work on projects within a creative community. Artists work on projects of their choosing and are welcome to bring their own materials and works in progress. Arrive and leave as your schedule allows. The cost is $25 per class.
