    What: The fountain runs from May 11 to October 31. During that period, it will operate for an hour at a time at 10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p each day.
  • First Friday Family Night at the Stevens Center, 1576 Kelly Dr, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: The center will serve hamburgers. Bring a side to share. Free and open to all. Wear a Hawaiian shirt.
  • Auction at S & L Bargain Depot, 1000 N. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Overstock and mis-shipped items will be auctioned to the highest bidder. There will be free popcorn until the auction starts at 6:30p.
  • Shakespeare in the Park at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The Temple Theatre’s teen conservatory will present As You Like It in the park. There is no admission fee.


Saturday

  • Revolutionary Battle Reenactment at the House in the Horseshoe, 288 Alston House Rd, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Participate in Revolutionary War activities throughout the day including a reenactment of the fight between Patriot and Loyalist militias held at 2:00 p.m. both days. There is a $5.00 fee for parking.

    What: Members of the community are invited a prayer walk from Depot Park to the Lee County Courthouse to show their support for Sanford.
  • Peach Days at Millstone Creek Orchards, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Road, Ramseur NC
    When:

    What: Sample orchard specialties, participate in a peach pie eating contest, and let the kids compete in a fishing tournament.
  • Zumba at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: All are welcome. The cost is $5 per person.
  • Boat Rentals at San Lee Park, Pumping Station Rd, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: You can rent canoes and paddle boats for $3/paddle boat and $5/canoe for each half hour. Rentals are only open on weekends.
  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC
    When:
    7-11:30p
    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons at 7p. Starting at 8p, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.
