    What: The Sanford Area Society of Shaggers is a group of friendly, welcoming people who have shag dancing and beach music. This is their monthly social and will feature DJ Kitty Earles.

  • Boat Rentals at San Lee Park, 572 Pumping Station Rd, Sanford NC

    What: You can rent canoes and paddle boats for $3/paddle boat and $5/canoe for each half hour. Rentals are only open on weekends.
  • Father’s Day Celebration at Millstone Creek Orchard, 506 Parks Crossrds Church Rd, Ramseur NC

    What: Celebrate Dad with a day of fun. Admission includes fishing with dad, an orchard hayride, an airsoft competition, and berry picking. Admission is free for dads and kids under age 2.
  • Block Party at Horton Park, 1515 Washington Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The community is invited to a Kickin’ Crime in Lee County party. There’ll be guest speakers, entertainment, free food, face painting, games and much more.
  • Gather & Flourish: The Market, 346 HM Cagle Dr, Cameron NC

    What: The market features local produce, photography, jewelry, clothing, food and more.
  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC
    When: 8p
    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons from 8p to 9p. From 9p to 12a, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.
