  • Fundraiser Plate Sale at the Lee County Arts Center, 507 N. Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: Buy a plate for $8 that includes a chicken leg quarter, slaw, baked beans, a roll, and dessert. Free delivery for orders of 10+. The sale will benefit Carolina Stars travel baseball.
  • Hollywood at House in the Horseshoe, 288 Alston House Rd, Sanford NC
    When: 8-11p
    What: Bring a blanket or lawn chair to watch Peter Hunt’s 1972 classic “1776” on an outdoor screen. They’ll have a food truck and games/activities for the whole family. There will be a $5 parking fee per vehicle.

  • Yard Sale at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC

    What: The theatre will sell clothing, including wedding dresses, coats, hats, and more, from its many past productions.
  • Furniture Auction at CCCC-Harnett Campus, 1075 E Cornelius Harnett Blvd, Lillington NC
    When: 9a-12p
    What: A variety of handcrafted wood and metalwork, including lawn furniture, utility buildings, yard decorations, and other items, will be up for auction. The items will be available for viewing in and outside of the Miriello Building Multipurpose Room. Bidding starts at 10a.
  • Wellness and Safety Awareness Day at the Civic Center, 1801 Nash St, Sanford NC

    What: The community is invited for a day of health screenings, wellness activities, and more sponsored by Sanford Lodge # 101 – Prince Hall Affiliate.
  • Hot Dog Sale at Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church, 316 W Main St, Sanford NC
    When:
    11a-2p
    What: The church youth will sell hot dogs in the parking lot across from the church. Two hot dogs, a bag of chips and a drink are available for $5, drive-through only. All proceeds go toward the youth mission trip to Washington, DC in July.
  • Adoption Event at Petco, 3070 S. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC

    What: Meet adoptable pets. The event is hosted by Animal Life Rescue.
  • Pittsboro Wine Fest at the Alpha Center, 697 Hillsboro St, Pittsboro NC

    What: Try an array of wines from 15+ vendors along with a souvenir glass, cheeses, door raffles, music, and more. Tickets are $40 each and benefit Vidas de Esperanza, a nonprofit organization that provides free medical and dental care to Chatham County residents.
  • Boat Rentals at San Lee Park, 572 Pumping Station Rd, Sanford NC

    What: You can rent canoes and paddle boats for $3/paddle boat and $5/canoe for each half hour. Rentals are only open on weekends.
  • Gather & Flourish: The Market, 346 HM Cagle Dr, Cameron NC

    What: The market features local produce, photography, jewelry, clothing, food and more. Local musician Chicadee will perform.
  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S. Steele St, Sanford NC
    When: 8p-12a
    What: Learn beginners salsa from 8-9 and then dance from 9-12. Light refreshments are provided. Bring a dish or a desert to share. The cost is $10 per adult.
