  • Fountain at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p
    What: The fountain runs from May 11 to October 31. During that period, it will operate for an hour at a time at 10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p each day.
  • Plate Sale at Southern Lee High School, 2303 Tramway Rd, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Get a plate of grilled boneless, chicken breast; dirty rice; green beans; rolls; water; and dessert for $7.50.   • Agriculture Takes Center Stage at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When:
    5:30-8:30p
    What: Watch the film “Farmland” and enjoy hors d’oeuvres prepared with local products as well as local beer and other beverages. The film will be followed by a panel discussion about the impacts of farms and forests in Lee County. Registration is required but the event is free. This event is for those 21 years old and up.
  • Clearance Sale at S & L Bargain Depot, 1000 N. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC

    What: Items will be 10-50% off throughout the store. There will also be a drawing for a grill. Light refreshments will be available.
  • Broadway Night at Lee County High School, 1708 Nash St, Sanford NC

    What: Lee County High School’s Show Choir is having a Broadway Night. They will perform many songs from Broadway. Admission is $5 per person.

    What: Bike, kayak, and run to support the 2016 Pope Army Airfield Air Force Ball Committee.

    What: You can rent canoes and paddle boats for $3/paddle boat and $5/canoe for each half hour. Rentals are only open on weekends.
  • Summer Family Fun Fest at First Congregational Christian Church, 328 McIver St, Sanford NC

    What: The church will offer games for kids ages pre-school through middle school, as well as snacks and more. Call 919-776-2433 for more information.
  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons from 7p to 8p. From 8p to 11:30p, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.
