  • Wizard of Oz at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When:
    7p
    What: The first session of the theatre’s Summer Youth Conservatory will stage the iconic production. Tickets are $8/child or student and $14/adult.

Saturday

  • Boat Rentals at San Lee Park, 572 Pumping Station Rd, Sanford NC
    When:
    1-6p
    What: You can rent canoes and paddle boats for $3/paddle boat and $5/canoe for each half hour. Rentals are only open on weekends.
  • Season Opening of O.T. Sloan Pool, 1420 Bragg St, Sanford NC

    What: The pool will open for the summer. Hours are 1p to 5p from Tuesday through Sunday.

    What: The Southern Exposure Band will play. The Enrichment Center will provide hot dogs and hamburgers. Bring a dessert to share.
  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC
    When: 8p
    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons from 8p to 9p. From 9p to 12a, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.
