  • Meat Truckload Sale at Piggly Wiggly, 2414 S. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    When: 11a-6p
    What: Load up on meats at bargain prices. A grill will be setup by the truck. Make any size donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs and you’ll get a hot dog, chips and a drink for free.
  • Sanford Area Society of Shaggers Social at the VFW, 1500 Webb St, Sanford NC
    When:
    7p
    What: The Sanford Area Society of Shaggers is a group of friendly, welcoming people who have shag dancing, a love of beach music, and socializing in common. The social will feature DJ Kitty Earles.
  • Parker Homecoming at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St, Sanford NC
    When:
    7p
    What: Karen Peck & New River along with The Harvesters Quartet and Ivan Parker. Tickets are $15 in advance or $17 at the door. Children’s tickets are $9 in advance or $11 at the the door. This is the first night of a two-night event.

    What: Kids will explore the character value of “determination.”

  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC
    When: 7-11:30p
    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons from 7p to 8p. From 8p to 11:30p, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.

  • One By One at Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When:
    4-5p
    What: To improve race relations, One by One is a community forum is held monthly to discuss racism with the hope of sharing, understanding, and healing. The ability to work within and outside of this community as one people, called to work together for the betterment of all, will result. All are invited to participate.
