    What: Zumba Jammer Meladie Capers-Adams will host this 90-minute zumba party. Admission is $5/member and $10/non-member.
  • “Guns of Ava” at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When: 7:30-10p
    What: This production is a Memorial Day Weekend tribute to our military men and women and centers around the true story of a decorated veteran. Tickets are $20/adult, $15/student, and $18/military member.

  • Bowling Fun Day at Kendale Bowling Lanes, 139 Rand St, Sanford NC
    When: 10a-5p
    What: Bowl to raise money for Family Promise. Tickets are $25, which includes 3 games of bowling, shoe rental, and 3 raffle tickets for prizes. There will also be a silent auction. Contact Wendy Smith at 919-258-5689 for more info.
  • Birthday Bash at Millstone Creek Orchards, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC
    When: 11a-3p
    What: Celebrate the orchard’s 13th year with apple cider donuts, hayrides, open fishing and a scavenger hunt. The event is free.
  • Country-Western Dance Workshop at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S. Steele St, Sanford NC
    When: 12:30-4:30p
    What: Learn country-western dances, including two-step, swing, cha-cha, waltz, polka, and line dancing. The cost is $40/person or $75/couple of one leader and one follower.
  • Brew ‘n’ Choo Beach Party at New Hill Valley Railway, 3900 Bonsal Road, New Hill NC
    When: 2-9p
    What: The family-friendly event offers one-hour, diesel-powered train excursions along with festivities in the railyard including food, dessert, craft beer, local wine, live music, games, prizes and giveaways. Ride tickets are $12/adult, $11/senior (age 60+), and $10/child (age 2-12).

  • Armed Forces Concert at Festival Park, 335 Ray Ave, Fayetteville NC
    When: 7:30p
    What: The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra will perform a series of patriotic and popular works to honor all members of the armed forces. Bring your own chair/blanket. Food trucks will be onsite. In case of bad weather, the concert will be at Methodist University’s Huff Concert Hall.
