  • Veterans Day Program at the NC Veterans Memorial Pavilion, Main St, Broadway NC

    What: Honor and celebrate veterans and active duty armed forces at this annual observance. The program is sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit #5. For more information, call 919-353-9836.
  • Veterans Day Ceremony at the Johnsonville Veterans Memorial, Hwy 24 and Hwy 27, Johnsonville NC

    What: The Johnsonville Ruritan Club will host this observance. Lunch will follow at the Johnsonville Community Center.
  • Lunchtime Program with Owls at Raven Rock, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington NC

    What: Learn about owls that are native to our area and meet the special live owls from the Wildlife Rescue Center. There will be owl crafts and homemade mouse desserts for all. Bring your own lunch. Program will be at the amphitheater behind the Visitor Center, if raining the event will be held inside the Visitor Center auditorium.
  • Movies in the Park at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The Lee County Partnership for Children will offer activities for kids to do while waiting for the movie to start (craft, obstacle course, reading area, etc.) and the Central Carolina Jaycees have concessions available for purchase. The movie for this week is Wall-E.
  • Movie Night at Total Body Therapy & Wellness, 2 the Square, Lillington NC

    What: Take the family to see the movie Elf. Tickets are $2/person or $4/family of 4. The event is a fundraiser to benefit Cinderella’s Attic, a non-profit organization that provides prom dresses and accessories for those who cannot afford them.
  • Stand Up Comedy at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC

    What: Ryan Davis will perform. Tickets start at $12 per person. For mature audiences only. Davis will film his comedy special during the evening.

  • Fall Bazaar at Congregational Christian Church, 328 McIver St, Sanford NC

    What: The day will start with biscuits for sale, as well as baked goods, candy, crafts, and more. Lunch plates of ham or turkey and dressing will be for sale starting at 11a. Plates are $7.50. There will also be a raffle.
  • Native American Culture Program at the Chatham Community Library, 197 Hwy 87 N, Pittsboro NC

    What: Native American storyteller and historian Nora Dial-Stanley will present a special program that includes dancing, traditional drummers, artisans, and more.

    What: Join Sanford Mothers of Preschoolers for a night of shopping, beauty demonstrations, prizes, games, appetizers and mocktails. The first 25 ladies in the door will receive a swag bag.

    What: Downtown Sanford is hosting a 2nd Sunday Sidewalk Event with art, music, food, shopping and fun giveaways on the sidewalks of downtown.
