  • Grand Opening of Michael’s Best Gourmet Ice Cream and Grill, 128 E. Main St, Broadway NC
    When: 5:30a-8p
    What: The new restaurant will serve a full breakfast from 5:30a to 10:30a and then serve the lunch menu until 4p. Then at 5p, festivities will move outside. They will cook hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill with all the fixings, a drink and ice cream all for 8 dollars a plate. Then during that time to 6p, Don Cole will perform. Teen phenom Britt Buchanan will perform until 8p.
  • Fountain at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p
    What: The fountain runs from May 11 to October 31. During that period, it will operate for an hour at a time at 10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p each day.
  • Auction at S & L Bargain Depot, 1000 N. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-7p
    What: Overstock and mis-shipped items will be auctioned to the highest bidder. There will be free popcorn until the auction starts at 6:30p.
  • Lights of Halloween at Broken Plow Farm, 1851 Avents Ferry Rd, Sanford NC
    When:
    6:30p
    What: Take a kid-friendly, 30-minute hayride that finishes with a special light show. Rides start at 7p and run every 30 minutes. The cost is $8.50. Cash only. Feel free to bring the kids in costume.

  • Warehouse Sale at The Vintage Warehouse, 210 Market St, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: Shop for vintage items, primitive furniture, and accessories from Old Gold Salvage & Antiques and Redoux Home Vintage shops.
  • Fountain at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The fountain runs from May 11 to October 31. During that period, it will operate for an hour at a time at 10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p each day.
  • Jamboree on the Air at the Moore County Airport, 7825 Aviation Dr, Carthage NC
    When: 10a-2p
    What: This is an annual event where Boy Scouts and friends of all ages are invited to come out and talk on the radio to other Scouts worldwide! All you have to do is show up and the MOCARS (Moore County Amateur Radio Society) members and other radio enthusiasts will help folks of all ages connect with other Scouts and friends around the world.
  • Fall Open House at The Painted Petal, 1112 Hawkins Ave, Sanford NC
    When: 10a-3p
    What: Bring a pumpkin to paint at a pumpkin painting station, shop handmade gemstone jewelry, shop upcycled furniture, and more.
  • Oktoberfest at Millstone Creek Orchard, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC
    When:
    10a-4p
    What: Bring the family to the orchard for music, pumpkin picking, s’mores, storytime, contests, demos, hotdog roasting, apple cider drinking and more fall activities. Admission is $8 (free for kids under age 2).
  • Harvest Sale at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 1809 Poplar Springs Church Rd, Sanford NC

    What: Purchase a plate of chicken pastry for $8. Barbecue can be purchased by the plate or pound for $8.
  • Fundraiser in Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC

    What: Support the Rescue Rangers at this event featuring Curbside Cravins food truck, face painting, vendors, and more.
  • 2nd Annual Cruise In at Ed’s Collision, 250 Market St, Sanford NC
    When: 12-3p
    What: The cruise-in will feature a mix of classics, customs, motorcycles, tuners, 4 Wheel drive and mini trucks. Lunch will be served at 12:30p.

    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons from 7p to 8p. From 8p to 11:30p, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.
  • Free Concert at the Lee County Arts and Community Center, 507 N. Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: The Lee County Community Orchestra will present a free concert of Latin Music. The Lee County United Way will be onsite collecting monetary donations for those affected by Hurricane Matthew in Lee County and North Carolina.

  • Free Orchestra Concert at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC

    What: The Lee County Community Orchestra will present a free concert of Latin Music at 3p. The Lee County United Way will be onsite collecting monetary donations for those affected by Hurricane Matthew in Lee County and North Carolina. There will be an instrument petting zoo starting at 2p.
  • One by One at Trinity Lutheran Church, 500 Carthage St, Sanford NC

    What: Meet with others to talk and listen about your current concerns or issues you’d like to share.
  • Revival at First Congregational Christian Church, 328 McIver St, Sanford NC
    When: 7p
    What: Rev. Curtis Norris will be the guest speaker. The revival will feature music and more, and will run tonight and next Sunday.
