  • Fountain at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p
    What: The fountain runs from May 11 to October 31. During that period, it will operate for an hour at a time at 10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p each day.
  • Auction at S & L Bargain Depot, 1000 N. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-7p
    What: Overstock and mis-shipped items will be auctioned to the highest bidder. There will be free popcorn until the auction starts at 6:30p.
  • Open Studio at the ArtStudio, 102 S. Steele St, Sanford NC
    When: 6-9p
    What: Open studio allows artists ages 14+ to work on projects within a creative community. Arrive and leave as your schedule allows. The cost is $25 per day.

Saturday

  • Annual Fall Festival in Goldston NC
    When:
    9a-4p
    What: Enjoy 100+ vendors along with pony rides, games, crafts, and more. Admision and parking are free.

  • Zumba at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC

    What: All are welcome. The cost is $5 per person.
  • Ballroom Dancing at Southern Pines Elks Club, 280 Country Club Cir, Southern Pines NC
    When: 6:30-10p
    What: USA Dance invites everyone to its Fall Celebration. Doors open at 6:30p for social time. Free dance lessons begin at 7p. Open dancing will follow from 8-10p. All experience levels are welcome. Call 919-770-1975 for more information.
  • Live Music at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When: 7:30p
    What: Bill Stonehouse will pay tribute to Frank Sinatra. Christopher Kyle will debut his new album the same night. VIP tickets are $30 and include a reception at the Hawkins House. General seating is $20.

  • Poke Cafe for a Day at Karma Boutique, 131 Wicker St, Sanford NC
    When: 10a-4p
    What: Alliance Manga will be onsite to draw participants as Poke Masters with their favorite Pokemon. There will be a Battle Arena, special treats and drinks, and more.
  • Second Sunday in downtown Sanford NC
    When: 12-4p
    What: Spend your afternoon downtown for art, music, food, shopping, and giveaways. You can also enjoy a beer and wine tasting.
  • Oktoberfest at Millstone Creek Orchard, 506 Parks Crossroads Church Rd, Ramseur NC
    When:
    1-5p
    What: Bring the family to the orchard for music, pumpkin picking, s’mores, storytime, contests, demos, hotdog roasting, apple cider drinking and more fall activities. Admission is $8 (free for kids under age 2).
  • Revival at First Congregational Christian Church, 328 McIver St, Sanford NC
    When: 6:30p
    What: Rev. Curtis Norris will be the guest speaker. The revival will feature music and more, and will run 3 consecutive Sunday nights. It will start at 7p on October 16 and October 23.
  • Revival at Hunt Springs Baptist Church, 1557 St Andrews Church Rd, Sanford NC
    When: 7-8p
    What: The theme of the revival will be “Renewed Strength, for the great plans God has for HSBC.” Chance Walters will be the guest speaker. Music by Hunt Springs Choir, Chance Walters, Lee and Lois Rizzardi, and Redeemed Harmony.
