    When:

    What: The fountain will run at specific times each day. The hours are 10-11a, 12-1p, 2-3p, and 4-5p.
  • J. Fletcher Rosser Day at St Luke UMC, 2916 Wicker St, Sanford NC
    When: 11a-2p and 5-7p
    What: Buy a barbecue plate that includes slaw, potatoes, and hushpuppies for $8 to benefit the Bread Basket. You must preorder by noon on September 26 to qualify for delivery.
  • Free ACES Program at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St, Sanford NC
    When: 1-2p
    What: CCCC will host poet and Mount Olive University Assistant Professor of English, Lenard Moore, for a presentation, poetry reading, and Q&A entitled “B.A.M.: Black Arts Movement.” Book signing available as well.
  • Footloose at the Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St, Sanford NC
    When:
    2p and 7:30p
    What: Youth and adult actors will stage the 80s hit. Tickets are $27/adult and $15/child or senior.
  • Latin Night at Aye Toro, 3064 S. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    When: 10p-2a
    What: DJ Kriz will play salsa, merengue, bachata, house, and more. Ladies get in free. All others pay $5. You must be 21 to enter, and there is a dress code.

Saturday

  • Plein Air Paint Out in Downtown Sanford NC
    When: 8a-4p
    What: Painters of all ages and skill levels are invited to set up anywhere Downtown to paint. Bring your own materials, water, snacks, and lunch. The cost to participate is $15.

  • Pumpkin Festival at Hart’s Pumpkin Farm, 885 Meronies Church Rd, Bear Creek NC

    What: The festival will feature bluegrass music, a lawn tractor pull, a mud sling, Little Miss Pumpkin, a giant slide for the kids, the pie barn, craft vendors, and food. Admission is $6 for ages 5+. Parking is free.
  • Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze at Gross Farms, 1606 Pickett Rd, Sanford NC

    What: Enjoy picking pumpkins, exploring a corn maze, playing games, taking a hay ride, and more. Admission is $3. Attractions are priced separately. Faith Bardill will provide live music in the afternoon.
  • An Enchanting Evening at the Stevens Center, 1576 Kelly Dr, Sanford NC

    What: Love Grove AME Zion Church’s women’s ministry will host this event which features dinner, fashion, and comedy. Admission is a donation of $20 per person. For tickets, contact Sharon Byrd at 919-770-8354.
