  • Flu Shots at the Enrichment Center, 1615 S. Third St, Sanford NC
    When:

    What: The center will offer flu shots, a fitness assessment, brown bag medication review, and more.
  • Fountain at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave, Sanford NC
    When:
    10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p
    What: The fountain runs from May 11 to October 31. During that period, it will operate for an hour at a time at 10a, 12p, 2p, and 4p each day.
  • Plate Sale at Tramway Fire Dept, 5900 McDaniel Dr, Sanford NC
    When: 11a-7p
    What: Buy a plate of bbq pork or chicken, 2 vegetables, a roll, and dessert for $8. Alternate pickup locations are PetSense and Pittsboro Pet Supply. The sale will benefit several local animal rescue groups.
  • Animal Tracks and Signs at Raven Rock State Park, 3009 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington NC
    When: 6-7p
    What: Join a park ranger to discover some of the clues to finding animals in the park on this one-hour classroom program and short hike (0.2 mile). Participants can make plaster casts of silicone track molds to take home. Meet at the Visitor Center.
  • Auction at S & L Bargain Depot, 1000 N. Horner Blvd, Sanford NC
    When:
    6-7p
    What: Overstock and mis-shipped items will be auctioned to the highest bidder. There will be free popcorn until the auction starts at 6:30p.

Saturday

  • Fall Antiques Festival in Cameron NC
    When:
    8a-5p
    What: Shop all antique shops plus 250 outside dealers. Food, refreshments, and parking wil be available from churches and local civic groups.

  • Basketball Camp at the Boys & Girls Club, 1414 Bragg St, Sanford NC
    When:
    10a-12p for girls and 12-2 for boys
    What: B-2-B Basketball Camp will offer 2-hour sessions for girls and boys in grades 6+ to prepare them to tryout for their school basketball teams. The cost is $80 for 4 Saturdays, or $40 per day.
  • Grand Opening of the Habitat Re-Store, 413 Wicker St, Sanford NC
    When: 10a-2p
    What:  The store will open in its new location. Meet volunteers and staff. There will be live music, face painting, games, and more.
  • Zumba at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC
    When:
    11a-12p
    What: All are welcome. The cost is $5 per person.
  • Grand Opening of Libations, 139 Chatham St, Sanford NC
    When:
    12-9p
    What: Browse the shop’s selection of fine wines and craft beers, or unwind with a drink by the glass in the tap room.
  • Concert at the Enrichment Center, 1615 S. Third St, Sanford NC

    What: The Leda Ray Band will perform. Admission is free.
  • Social Saturday at Sanford Latin Dance, 109 S Steele St, Sanford NC
    When:
    7-11:30p
    What: The event starts with salsa dancing lessons from 7p to 8p. From 8p to 11:30p, the floor will be open to dancing. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a dish or dessert to share. Admission is $10 per adult.

    What: Live music, kids activities, local food via restaurants and food trucks, artists, vendors, craft beers and wine in a historic downtown setting.
